Matte liquid lipsticks - Rated Best to Worst.

I have quite dry lips although I exfoliate and moisturise therefore they are not too flaky. I first tried Gerard Cosmetics liquid lipsticks and fell in love with the way they dry fast and you are less likely to have to re apply the product. I will list below links of where to get the products and what shades i used.

1. Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick
The feel of this formula on my lips is very light weight, isn't sticky and doesn't dry out your lips either. I like the feel of the wand too it is soft and glides on the product evenly and flawlessly. After the product is on your lips for a few hours it doesn't separate, it may have worn off on the inner part of your lips if you are drinking, eating oily foods, or kissing. as the oils break down the product on the lips therefore wearing it off a bit. I was expecting that though as, it is vegan and contains no nasty chemicals either therefore natural oils will break down the product.
Jeffree star has an amazing range of colours, may favourite is celebrity skin, i also have posh spice, scorpio, watermelon soda, and the lip ammunition celebrity skin.

The formula to this product isn't as creamy as the Jeffree Star one. This lip product is easier to use on top of a lip liner as it is hard to line the lips with only the liquid lipstick. The colours are really pigmented, good quality and light weight feeling. Although, they can dry out your lips after a few hours therefore moisturising your lips before application. Also I never have to re apply throughout the day but i have before and it can sometimes feel a bit too 'cakey' with 2 layers on the lips. I feel that it is worth the price it is retailed at and I get many compliments when wearing my lip kit. I have Dolce K and KoKo K.

This is the first liquid lipstick I tried and I fell in love with the way that liquid lipsticks give and amazing matte coverage on your lips and the colours are so pigmented, The brush on this liquid
lipstick isn't as soft as the Jeffree Star velour liquid lipstick. But, I do love the formula, I haven't experienced any patchiness, and the colours are pigmented. It doesn't feel cakey on the lips and it doesn't dry it out as much as the Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks. Also these liquid lipsticks are inexpensive and good quality.
I have the shades Invasion, Iced Mocha and Ecstasy. The colour range on beauty bay is amazing, I haven't tried any of the nude shades although, I do what Aphrodite.

4.LA Splash Couture Liquid Lipstick
This is one of the worst liquid lipsticks I have tried as it feels cakey and dries out the lips to the point of them cracking within half an hour of application. The wand was a similar shape to the Kylie Cosmetics as it is quite long, although the formula is very runny. I do like the colours, they have a wide range of them. Also the packaging is chic with the gold writing and lid. Also, the price of them is inexpensive and easy to deliver in the UK as they stock them on Beauty Bay. I have the shade Ghoulish which is quite purple and grey it is good for a winter day, and also, Rose Garden which is quite bright compared to the colour the picture shows although, it is still a nice colour for the spring and summer.

5. Sleek liquid lipstick
The colour I purchased was Birthday Suit and I was excited to try out my first nude shade of liquid lipstick. When I swatched it on the back of my hand it appeared nude with an undertone of pink. Although, when I applied to the lips it wasn't nude, more of a dark pink. And the applicator is stiff and hard to move to outline the lips. Also the consistency of the formula is runny therefore when removing the applicator out of the container the liquid smeared all over the top of the packaging and got messy really quick which, has never happened to any liquid lipstick before so, I was surprised to see how messy it was, I felt that it was cakey, sticky on the lips and drying too. Overall, I tried this product once and wouldn't recommend it to anyone as it isn't a good product.
I do love SLEEK products though, the highlighters are really pigmented and long lasting so, I am not dissing the brand.

Favourite products of the month

This is a blog post about my favourite products of the October month, I have included skincare, hair care and makeup products. My skin type is super dry and dehydrated, and my hair is also damaged from bleach so the products I have used are best suitable for these conditions.

Moroccan Oil

My hair, especially the ends, needed a real moisture boost and shine. I have tried coconut oil, argan oil, macadamia oil, and all sorts of hair masques. But this product Moroccan oil is by far the best. The texture is really thick and soft in the palm of my hand and once applied to the hair it is immediately soaked in and leaves your hair soft and silky feeling. Also, I felt that my hair dried faster and looked shiner too.
The bottle is a pump dispenser which makes it easy and messy free to use. You can purchase smaller bottles which are perfect to try the product out before buying the full price one, and they are really good for a travel size too.
I only used a small pea-sized amount of the product and it was well more than enough for all of the lengths of my hair, I wouldn't apply to the roots unless you were to use it as a pre treatment oil, in which, you would apply to all of your hair including your scalp the night before a shower to allow it to soak into the hair and scalp, this will help really condition your hair and detangle. Also nourish the hair cuticle to encourage hair growth.

Duo-Lash Eyelash Glue

This lash glue is unlike any other i've ever used, it is thicker and stronger than eyelure, primark own and KISS. The best way to use this product is to apply it carefully and thinly to the lash band making sure to apply or squeeze the tube too hard or else it ends up in a sticky mess. Allow the glue to dry for 30-60 seconds, then look down into the mirror and use either tweezers or fingers to apply the false eyelashes to the lashline carefully and accurately. Duo-Lash glue prevents the lashes from falling off on the edges or sliding about the eyelid as some of them do, it is very strong and quick drying.
The only down sides to this product is that it contains latex although, they have brought out a new Duo-Lash glue that is for sensitive eyes and doesn't contain latex which i will link - HERE.
Also, although it is amazing and very useful not to have to carry around this glue for touch ups as you won't need to, it is very hard to get your lashes off at the end of the day. I wear mine for around 8-9 hours a day and each day it is hard to take it off my skin, sometimes i have to use some coconut oil to remove the lashes, and the glue can be left on the eye, which is sticky and can be stuck to the eyelashes if you are not careful. All I use to remove it all is the Clinique Take the day off balm, which is one of my favourite products of the month too.

Clinique take the day off balm

I used to use face wipes a few years ago, then i upgraded to the Garnier micellar water containing oil which felt a lot more moisturising for my skin although, i felt like it wasn't fully removing all of my makeup from my skin. so i thought i would try a cleansing balm as I heard that they are amazing for removing all traces of makeup and leaving the skin hydrated. I watched the MannyMua video of him reviewing the clinique skincare range, which brought me to try out the cleansing balm.
I feel that it is really easy to take off my makeup and it does dry out my skin either. I use a sponge to remove the balm from my face to take off the rest of my makeup. After, i use the Aloe Vera cleansing cream twice to remove all the dirt, oils and dead skin cells from the surface of my skin also, the left overs of the balm that I may have missed removing.

Real Techniques Expert face brush

This is the best real techniques brush i have used as the brushes are so soft and dense unlike any other. I feel like it applies and blends my foundation into my face flawlessly without it being streaky or showing my pores. It is very versatile, I use it to blend in foundation, concealer, and cream contour. This isn't too pricey either and can be purchased in a set of  'Core brush set' by Real Techniques. The best way to clean these brushes is using coconut oil which really gets into the synthetic fibres cleaning them with the anti bacterial properties the coconut has. Leaving the brush feeling soft and brand new.

Review Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits Dolce K & KoKo K.

I've been wanting to purchase the Kylie Cosmetics lip kits for a while now, although I found them hard to get as the restock was awkward times in the UK and the products sold out within 30 minutes. Therefore I attempted many times and was successful on purchasing multiple lip kits and a metallic from these tips.

  1. Know the time of the restock in your country and what she is restocking as they may only restock the lip kits and glosses or metallic. I will occasionally post restock times in the UK on my Instagram page which is bbloggerchar.
  2. Know what product and colour you want therefore you can choose it straight away, and click quick view, then put product into basket. (3 per customer)
  3. Have your information e.g. Address, email, etc. on auto fill.
  4. Retype in the website when it is the restock time as it is quicker than refreshing.
  5. Don't refresh when going to checkout, as you will loose your place in line. - the website does notify you when not to refresh.
  6. I found it easiest to purchase via laptop or desktop as typing fast on a mobile can be difficult.
When receiving the package it is a unique box containing foam to protect the cosmetics and a card from Kylie Jenner thanking you of your purchase. Which is a personal touch that I appreciate. You also get your order form with the colour and type of product you ordered from the website. Also you can track your order the whole time it is being delivered. The day before it arrived the postage tracking said that it has been delivered to destination.

Dolce K

The first lip kit that I purchased was the Dolce K, as I knew that I really wanted to try out the colour. The amount the lip kit converted to from $29 to pound is £20 for the liquid lipstick and liner. With shipping it comes to £30. I luckily wasn't charged customs, although I know many people have been on previous restocks.
The packaging for the lip kits is really pretty, and different from other cosmetics packaging as the box isn't like other lipstick boxes as it is thinner and has the colour of the product all around the box. Also when you open the box there is a cardboard piece separating the two products.
The liquid lipstick packaging is glass and heavy which is unexpected of a lipstick. I personally find that the colour is true to what it looks like, e.g. the Dolce K is a brown nude inside the packaging and is the same colour on the lips. Although, you will always have a slight change in colour from someone who has a different undertone to you.
The smell of the lip kit is quite sweet but after an hour of application the smell has disappeared, which didn't bother me. And the consistency of the formula is very lightweight and glides onto the lips with such ease, also the product dries matte quickly and doesn't dry into cracks or flakes of your lips either.
I eat, drink, talk, sweat etc. when wearing this liquid lipstick and it doesn't fade, peel, or dry for the entire day. The only downside to this is that it is very hard to remove at the end of the day.
The lip liner is really creamy and doesn't drag on dry lips, also the colours match perfectly. This colour is great for if you want to try out dark colours but you don't want to go too dark, also just using the lip liner will give you a lighter colour.

KoKo K

This colour is perfect for any look that has a bold eye shadow, or a natural day look. It suits all skin tones and doesn't fade at all throughout the day. I get a lot of compliments on my lipstick colour when wearing this. I normally apply this first then HEIR in the centre of my lips to give a glossy finish. I'll put a picture of me wearing this particular colour at the bottom of this post. I also post a lot on my instagram too of my MOTD. ( makeup of the day)
I love how I can overline my lips with this pink as other pinks are too light or not a light enough matte for me. I feel that this nude pink is unique to any other matte pinks, even dupes aren't quite the consistency or colour. I've also heard that this is the first colour to go sell out on each restock and Kylie Jenner's personal favourite, along side Candy K. This is the lightest pink matte she has at the moment, so if you love pinks i really recommend this product.

Overall I love these products its a shame not everyone can get their hands on them as they sell out so fast. My only downfall is that i don't find the smell is amazing but its not overpowering or unbearable.
Dolce K

My next review will be the BECCA Ultimate coverage complexion foundation crème.

Regret purchases

These products are ones that I wouldn't recommend for dry to really dry skin types as that's what I am, and I didn't get along with these products. They may work for you which is great but I'm just giving my opinion, enjoy reading my regret purchases.

I didn't like this particular foundation as it separated on my skin and stuck to my dry patches. Highlighting the flakiness on my skin. I couldn't find a tool to apply this on without it product going streaky, I tried a flat top kabuki brush, beauty blender, foundation brush, the consistency was way too runny and thin therefore it was a light coverage and not build-able as it went orange when I tried to build up this foundation.
Also it oxides, so by the end of the day I was really orange. What I didn't mind about this product is that the price is cheap and you do get a lot of product. I feel that this is more for someone who prefers a lighter coverage and not dry skin. I've heard the new foundation they've brought out is really good. It's called the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & poreless foundation, so I'll give that a try to see if it is a better formula than this one. The concealer that matches this foundation, is amazing. It's the Fit Me concealer in the shade 10 Fair. I'll go into more detail about the concealer when I do a dupe blog post.
I had been wanting to try this brush for a while I was so excited when I finally got to try it. I loved the finish it gave my foundation and how easy it made it to apply my base. It was all going well until like the fifth time it was washed. (I washed it the same as I did as my crown brushes which are older and I still have now.) Applying my foundation as I normally would with this brush, then a few bristles fell out and I thought nothing of it, then the WHOLE clump of bristles fell out, all the glue that had been there to stick the hairs onto the handle had just came off in one clump. I was really disappointed as I thought I had done something wrong, although I did my research and found out it has happened to a lot of people, bearing in mind I had this 10 months and I've had my crown brushes for 2 years now.
I don't recommend any of the other Real Technique brushes either as I feel that the quality of them isn't great as they are quite stiff and after a few months of having them harden up and make it hard to use and stain when you've used them a couple of times even with a brush cleaner and they are quite pricey too. If you're looking for a good set of brushes Sigma, Morphe, Zoeva, crown, Eco Tools, and MAC are all amazing.

The colours in this palette look amazing, so I thought I'd give it a go. The pigment of the matte shades doesn't show up on your cheeks at all, therefore I use the banana shade as a base to my eyeshadow and the darker colours as my transition shade. The darker colours aren't too bad to contour with they are just hard to blend especially with having dry skin. They are quite chalky and do leave a powdery finish, so i only use a bit of the product onto my eyelids. The highlighting shades are really pretty for the inner corner of your eye although they aren't shimmery enough for me, to use on the cheeks. So if you're looking for a highlighting and contour palette don't buy this one, this product is best for eyeshadow base colours. NYX have a really good powder contour palette that has similar colours to this one they are just highly pigmented. Its called NYX Highlight and contour Pro palette.
This was the first liquid lipstick I'd ever tried so I wasn't really sure what I was doing until I'd used it a couple of times and got my technique sorted. I got the colour tranquillity as it looked like a beautiful nude. Although when I applied it,  it looked more like my foundation colour rather than a nude. Also the consistency is really thick and chalky too which is terrible if you have the slightest crack or flake on your lips as it will highlight and go into the cracks. The colour also faded throughout the day therefore I had to keep reapplying over and over again so by the end of the day, I had a really thick layer of this liquid lipstick on my lips. It also felt so drying too which feels quite cakey. This particular product put me off liquid lipsticks as I thought they were all the same. I was sorry mistaken when I tried the Gerard Cosmetics liquid lipsticks. And the consistency is light and you don't have to reapply, I have all the details about my Gerard cosmetics liquid lipsticks on my review which I'll link HERE. Back to the MUA liquid lipstick, the price is great if you just want a cheap liquid lipstick to try, and the packaging is pretty too. On the other hand MUA lipsticks are really creamy and only £1. I'll be doing a review on the lipsticks and lip liners this month.

Thank you for reading my blog post, my upcoming blog post will be a skincare routine.

5 Must have Products

These products are my must have for every day use or when I'm applying makeup. I recommend these products to everyone. Continue reading to find out my Must Have products.

This brand is new to the UK, therefore not many people may have heard of it. I purchased my NYX setting spray from NEXT clothing store when they were previously stocking them, unfortunately they do not stock this brand anymore, although BOOTS are now stocking them online and in selected stores. I love a dewy finish as I have super dry skin, so I thought id give it a go as I'd heard amazing reviews and its cheap too. When I first used it, it straight away made a difference by giving me a beautiful glow accentuating my highlight, and my makeup lasted all day long. I've worn this through all seasons and it has kept my makeup in place, even through sweating. The product has also lasted me so long, I purchased mine earlier last year and it is still going. Although i only have a tiny bit left. I will be repurchasing this as I found it amazing, they also do a mattifying finish if a dewy look isn't for you. When spraying I go in a downwards motion making sure I've sprayed my entire face, I only spray my face 3-4 times as you don't want to spray too many times and the setting spray ruin your makeup or making your mascara run.

I've tried many beauty blenders from the Real techniques beauty sponge, to the W7 beauty sponge. I found that they didn't last as long and started cracking, also when I washed them after using the sponge, the foundation had already stained it. The original beauty blender looks quite small but when it is dispersed into water the sponge expands a lot therefore making it easier to apply foundation as you are covering a larger area, also the sponge is so soft helping the product blend onto the skin and give an even coverage. I also felt that contouring, powder and highlighter went on easier and didn't look cakey due to the foundation evening out my complexion. It is worth the money as I had to keep repurchasing the other beauty blenders whereas with this one it lasts so long, mine is still going strong and I got mine in January.
I've been wanting to try this palette for so long as I heard great reviews, and it didn't let me down. I received mine as a gift from the Christmas 2014, and all my eye shadow pans are still going. None of them have ran out and i use then daily. The colour is really pigmented therefore you don't need a lot of product on the brush, i like the fact that the packaging is metal so it's prefect for travelling as none of the pans with smash and the mirror won't break. Some people do not get along with the duo sided eye shadow brush that the product comes with and in some ways i agree as you can't blend with this brush, I find it's great for patting on shadow onto the eyelid and under the brow. If you want a more defined brush the BH Cosmetics do an amazing eye brush set that comes with everything you need.
I've gotten so many different eye looks using this palette and it doubles as a highlighter, using just the blackout colour on your lids then blending it up into the crease creates a gorgeous smoky eye. If you're not sure on what palette to buy I'd recommend to go into a store that has an Urban Decay counter such as Debenhams, so they can provide you with the best palette for your skin tone, undertone, what eye shadow look you usually go for, if you want an everyday look or evening etc. Naked original has quite dark colours, Naked 2 has browns and silvers, Naked 3 has pinks and neutral colours.
I love these Liquid lipsticks so much because they stay on all day, you don't need a lip liner prior to application and the colour range is gorgeous. I have iced mocha, Invasion and Ecstasy. When i first got them I wasn't sure how to use them as I didn't want to apply too much product and the lipstick not dry, therefore I wiped off the excess product on the wand and applied from the bottom centre of my lips outward tilting the wand to define my inner corners. I found the product dried quickly and didn't dry out my lips or fade throughout the day. I've tried LA Splash couture and Jeffree Star velour liquid lipsticks, but I always go back to my GC because I don't have to reapply throughout the day or worry about the colour bleeding or staining my teeth. I have done a review on this product, if you click this link it will take you to it - http://www.beautybloggercharlotte.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/gerard-cosmetics-lipstick-review.html
I love this mascara for length and thickening without all the clumpiness which you can get with other mascaras. I find that this is a dupe of the YSL Babydoll mascara as both do exactly the same and give me the same finish on my lashes, although my YSL Babydoll is older therefore it has dried out now. Therefore I'm using this mascara and i can't fault at all, you can build up the layers and it won't go clumpy, they look like false lashes too. I love spikey mascara wands as I find that the mascara doesn't clump up, the hairs are individually coated too. I use mine in a wiggling motion from the root to tip, building it up as I go along the lashes. The only fault i find is that my lashes drop the curl i first get when applying this product throughout the day, even when using my Eyeko Curling wand.

Beauty Hacks

This is a follow up from my last post about beauty hacks, hope they help you.

  1. Baking is a complete new concept to all makeup lovers, Kim kardashian's makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic introduced us all to this new technique he had been doing for years to give Kim that photo ready, flawless finish makeup look. Now all you need to do is to dip your damp beauty blender into a loose powder and dab onto the face to set the foundation underneath the eyes to the cheekbones, nose, center forehead and chin. This is to be done before contouring and highlighting but after foundation and concealer application. To allow the product to 'bake' on your skin leave it for 5-10 mins, in the mean time you could fill in your brows or do your lips etc. Once the product has finished 'Baking' brush off the excess powder with a fluffy powder brush, I use Crown brushes Powder Brush its so soft and only brushes off the unwanted product left on the skin. The powders that are best for doing this technique are RMCA no Colour powder, Laura Mercier loose setting powder, and Ben NYE banana powder. I recommend them all they all have really different coverage, but baking generally gives a full coverage.
  2. Sun cream. This is an essential product for everyday use, as sun damaging is a big factor to premature ageing to the skin. No matter what the weather is like outside or if you're staying in all day, harmful UV rays get through the clouds and through the windows onto your delicate skin and mutate the cells, damaging them, drying out your skin and causing premature wrinkling. In the worst case scenario, being over exposed to the sun can cause skin cancer which is life threatening if not diagnosed quickly. Also wearing sunglasses when driving or when you're going for a walk etc. will also protect your eyes, which are extremely sensitive to the sun.
  3. Coconut oil is a huge hype at the moment, and i can really see why as this natural source has so many beneficial factors such as, eye makeup remover, Hair conditioner, body moisturiser, lip balm, conditioner for eyelashes and brows to help the growth, and many more. Buying a big tub of this golden wonder will change your skin care and hair care routine. It is also super cheap too. The Tiana Extra Virgin Coconut Oil   as this coconut oil is not cold pressed therefore contains all the important nutrients for your health, skin care and haircare.
  4. Serums are important to everyone's skin care no matter what skin type you are. It is to be dabbed onto the skin prior to moisturiser, it is a lot more thinner and less creamy than most other moisturisers, as this product is to be for hydrating the new skin cells deep down in the epidermis therefore when the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin are exfoliated off you have beautiful radiant healthy skin. Many people see a different straight away from using a serum weather that be the texture of their skin softening or the way there makeup looks glowing. I find it makes my makeup easier to remove as your skin isn't trying to absorb the foundation as it is already hydrated by the serum. This product is to be used all year round, it is a myth to only use this in the summer. This serum Manuka Doctor ApiClear skin treatment is great for your skin and contains many beneficial properties for your skin.
  5. Priming the face for foundation is very important, it will change the way your foundation will go on, how long your makeup will stay and how the overall finish of your makeup will look. Wash your face using either an exfoliator or foam wash, Check out my previous Beauty hacks blog post if you're unsure on how many times to exfoliate. After tone your face, and moisturise with the appropriate cream prior to makeup application. You will need a lightweight and brightening moisturiser before foundation. Do not use a night cream or a thick heavy cream as your makeup will not stay on your skin and will slip and slid all over the place. I highly recommend the Aloe Vera day cream from The Body Shop, at first I had a tester of this product and loved the way it gave my makeup a glowing finish, therefore I purchased the full size, also this product has a lot if vitamins and great ingredients which is going to benefit your skin. No matter what skin type you are, it is also suitable for sensitive skin. Also the Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion is amazing, it is also lightweight and smells amazing, it makes it really easy to apply foundation too, this product contains SPF 15 and is oil free. Therefore if you feel your skin becomes oily throughout the day this product many prevent the sebum going to the surface of the skin.
I have gone a little bit into skin care although I will be posting a blog soon of a more in depth skin care routine for each skin type. Starting with the most common Combination which is well known as an oily T-Zone and normal/dry cheeks. Although combination could be any skin type combined. Example oily cheeks, and eyelids although dry forehead and nose.

Lip voltage review

I wasn't sure if this lip plumper worked but after looking at reviews and seeing results I thought I'd give it a go as I love to have plump lips. I've previously tried the soap and glory lip plumper although I felt tingling, it didn't plump my lips at all. Just stung a bit. So I thought I'd try a really strong plumper that had great results. I purchased mine from Dollywoodboutique  It was quick delivery and kept me up to date with emails and I could track my package too.
It came in a jiffy bag, sealed and secure. The boxes looked like they had been previously opened which made me wonder if i bought it second hand, when I asked around with a couple of other people that had also purchased this product their box looked the same as mine. I came to the conclusion that the company may be a small business and they package the products by hand.
Also, I've seen a few girls receive their HOT plumper containing a red like substance floating in the liquid, the customer queried the business and they explained that it isn't anything to worry about and to use it as normal. As it isn't contaminated or anything dangerous for the skin.
I was so eager to try this product out, I wanted the fullest lips and the best results. Therefore I unscrewed the lip gloss which is included in the kit, and release the HOT collagen into the gloss. I wanted the maximum effect so i put in 0.3ml into the gloss. I screwed the lid back on and left it to 'mix' for 30 seconds. I then shook it prior to application. TIP; when applying to lips, do not let the wand drag always have a good amount of product on the wand as you want the plumper all over the lips. Make sure to coat a thick layer onto your lips not missing the corners or cupids bow.

The After picture was taken 45mins later.
My lips stung for over 45 mins, I've recently found out that I'm not too bad with pain, I'd say it hurt a 2/10 for me the second time i applied it - the day after - it hurt a lot more I'd say a 4/10. A lot of girls have said the pain hurt too much therefore I recommend if your not too good with pain, to start with 0.1ml then if you feel like you can take more pain increase to 0.2 an so on. The largest amount you can put in at one time is 0.3ml. When i re used it the next day i put in 0.3 again and the day after that to see if it changes the results if you use it more often.
I felt like the last time I used it didn't plump my lips as much as i wanted to because I only put in 0.2ml in. Although the time before that I put in 0.3ml in and it lasted me 4+ hours which really impressed me. I was getting so many compliments on my lip and how plumped they looked.
I love wearing liquid lipsticks and my favourite at the moment is LA Splash Couture in Ghoulish. I only way i can fault this product is that it goes into the cracks and lines of your lips which doesn't look nice at all. But applying this product prior to application, I found it went on seamlessly, and looked gorgeous. I have a picture below of me wearing Ghoulish with lip plumper underneath.
TIP: to apply liquid lipstick on over the lip plumper, leave the product on until you cannot feel it tingling any more - I apply mine before I do my make-up therefore giving it time to plump - I then dab off the excess gloss on my lips using a tissue, then apply my desired liquid lipstick. This works the same for lipsticks too.
If you'd like to have a glossy finish then by all means apply this over your lipstick to give you the gloss finish, this product will not dissolve your existing product on the lips, although it may not work to its optimum results as it is not going on bare lips.
Another tip to know before buying this product is to know that this will not give you the exact result of lip fillers as lip fillers will work on small lips, depending on the area and how much ml that is inserted. I've seen results with this lip plumper on thin lips and, the results are not as noticeable as mine as it will not change the shape of your lips.
Overall I love this product the only thing I do not like is that it came with the ICE lip plumper which doesn't work for me as the coldness of it doesn't give the same results as the HOT one.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit

I saw many pictures of beautiful people trying out this highlighting palette and knew I needed to try it as I've never really had an amazing highlighter that's really made me glow. They have two different palettes and they are so different from each other, I found it quite difficult to decide and checked out some swatches of both the palettes prior to purchasing them, and found that the Gleam kit was more for people with fair skin or wanted blushes as well as highlighters which wasn't what I was looking for. I love the bronzed goddess glow and saw the colours are varied in my opinion such as, the stardust has a yellow undertone to it therefore perfect for tanned or highlighting nose, under eyebrows or Cupid's bow. Bubbly is gorgeous for highlighting cheekbones as it has a beautiful shimmer, Dripping in Gold is great if you want to look more bronzed but not too dark, I normally use the stardust colour then dripping in gold over the top if I feel it's too yellow. Golden Bronze is what I use to get a sun kissed look, I apply this before contouring as sometimes when I want a natural look I may not need to contour over the top. I contour using Hoola by Benefit.
The feel of this product is so silky and can be applied using a fan or tapered highlighting brush depending on how much product you want to deposit onto the skin. And the palette is so pigmented, a little really does go a long way, I usually build this product up as its easier to apply more rather than remove if you've applied too much.
Another tip to apply bronzer first then highlight after as its easier to blend the two colours together that way. This palette looks great on all skin types and all skin colours, I love how it's got different colours so you can create different looks using it. I also use this as an eyeshadow by applying Golden Bronze in the crease and Dripping in gold on my lid, after I apply Star dust onto my brow bone, it is a beautiful simple eye look and can be for an everyday glam.
The packaging of this product is very simple, it has a light pink frosting on the lid which is a cute touch to the chic ABH palette. Opening it you'll find that it has a clear sheet to protect the pans from being damaged, also it has a sleeve to prevent the palette from opening when travelling which is what most ABH palettes include.
This is the best highlighter I've ever used and I always use it whenever I wear makeup. I highly recommend for anyone that wants a healthy glow.
Coming up will be a follow up post on beauty hacks.

Gerard cosmetics Lipstick review

I have always loved the MUA Luxe liquid lipsticks although they lack the variety of colours and I feel they go quite chalky after a while, therefore I thought I'd venture further into liquid lipsticks and purchase the Gerard Cosmetics liquid lipstick in the shade Ecstasy.
I fell in love straight away, the beautiful colour is unique and unlike any other I've seen, the texture once the lipstick is dried is hydrating and seamless, not dry and chalky at all. They smell so good too which is a bonus to any makeup product. The Gerard Cosmetics liquid lipsticks make it so easy to overline your lips as the texture is matte and I feel using a wand gives you precision to outlining your lips, so most of the time I don't feel it is necessary to apply lip liner prior to application.
The Gerard Cosmetics range provides so many colours to choose from, i bought the three darkest ones as I love a dark lipstick and matte looks flawless dark. The size of the product is reasonable, I have had Ecstasy for 5 months and i use it 2-3 times a week, it's not even close to running out. As you don't waste product re applying throughout the day as it's not necessary to because they are so long lasting and don't bleed or fade. They stay on when consuming food and drinking, also it doesn't transfer once the product is dry onto the lips. I find if you keep licking your lips constantly throughout the day you might notice some fading as the saliva will break down the product slowly - but that happens with most if not all lip products if you lick your lips constantly. As I loved Ecstasy so much I decided to buy Iced Mocha and Invasion as I love browns and lilacs. When they arrived in there beautiful black packaging with gold writing on, I got so excited and had to give them a try.
Iced Mocha is so different to Ecstasy as I feel it has a creamier consistency and a more pigmented colour. I dries to a lovely dark mocha brown and really looks beautiful paired with strong brows and smoky eyes. It keeps my lips moisturised and looking flawless. I feel that this is the best colour to overline with as its such a deep colour and hides your natural lip line. When I saw Invasion online i thought it would be a lighter version of Ecstasy, a beautiful lilac colour, although it was not what I was expecting at all it is still a beautiful colour that has an undertone of brown but, still quite purple. I I see this more like a day time lipstick as it isn't as dark as the other two, but you can still over line with this and not see your natural lip line. I think in my opinion that Invasion looks best with really highlighted cheekbones as it brings the attention to both the cheekbones and lips which is a flawless look and gorgeous for spring.
Moving onto the NONE liquid lipsticks although still Gerard Cosmetics. The packaging of the lipsticks is my favourite, they look like golden bullets. Nude changes colour depending on your lips natural skin tone. As you can see in the picture above it appears to have an orange undertone. That will change if your lips are pale, pink, dark etc. The consistency is quite creamy, although I don't see it different to any other nude lippy out there. I think personally it would suit a sunkissed glowy look, perfect for the summer nights. Buttercup is a gorgeous pink that is subtle and not too transparent either which is hard to find when looking for a pink lipstick. It is super creamy and would suit more fair skin types, as it brings out the natural light glow in your skin. It would look beautiful with dramatic winged liner and long lashes, perfect for date night.
Underground is my absolute favourite, it suits all skin types and can be worn day and night and it is versatile for each look and super sultry. The consistency is creamy also. Although I find it doesn't last as long as the liquid lipsticks and does need re application after consuming food or drinking. I normally wear this with full coverage foundation and defined contouring as I feel this lipstick completes the look.
London fog is a lot more creamier than the other lipsticks, I'm not sure if that is down to the darker colour or if they changed the products. It has quite a blue under tone which I love as its unique to any other colour I've seen before. This is perfect for a night time look and doesn't need to be re applied as its such a pigmented colour. It doesn't bleed outside of the lip line although I'm always extra precautious and apply one just in case.
All the lipsticks smell of cocoa butter as that is one of the ingredients, therefore not only does it provide colour but also hydrates your lips and prevents them from chapping throughout the day which is an added bonus to these particular lipsticks.

Beauty hacks

I thought I'd share some of my tips and tricks with you about nails, hair, makeup and skincare. Enjoy reading.

  1. When painting your nails weather it be base coat or a colour coat always 'Cap' your nail varnish, this is done a lot when applying gel polish but doing this with regular varnish prevents chipping and peeling, also giving your polish a professional finish.
  2. If you want a crisp defined eyeshadow look or would love to get a flawless contour, taping underneath your eye will give you an amazing line, lining the tape up with the arch of your brow angling it up the side. So the tape will go up along the end of the brow and onto the temple. Also this can be used to get a perfect symmetrical eyeliner wing. Contouring tape will aid not going outside of where you want to highlight/contour. Hudabeauty has an amazing video about contouring using tape.
  3. Cleaning up the brow after finishing filling them in will give a gorgeous shape and a beautiful finish, get s concealer brush preferably small and dab a bit of foundation into it, start at the front of underneath the brow and glide toward the tail of the brow lining the eyebrow as you go. Doing this will make a world of difference and if you go wrong filling in your eyebrows this will correct it making it the shape you desire.
  4. If your unsure on how to apply Matte Lipstick, start by wiping off the excess product leaving you with enough product for the bottom lip. Deposit most of the product onto the largest area e.g. Lower centre lip. After press your lips together then if you need to get more product to apply onto the upper lip, over lining if you need to. Which I find really easy with Matte lipsticks.
  5. Not really a tip or trick but, exfoliating 2 a week brightens the skin, gives a deep cleanse of the pores and stimulates grow of new skin cells, also removing the dead cells from the top layer of the skin. Giving you that radiant glow.
  6. Double cleansing is super important as it makes sure that all your makeup is removed and not clogging up the pores. Toning the face doesn't remove your makeup as most people think it does, it removes the excess cleanser and impurities still on the skin also closing the pores, so when it comes to applying your moisturiser the skin is hydrated rather than the pores becoming clogged from the cream.
  7. Many combination/oily skin types feel that using any skincare products that contain oils is a big no, but cleansers containing oils draws out the excess oils from your skin. Therefore toning the skin removes the dirt and sebum that is sitting on the skin. Clarins do an amazing cleansing oil, you can double cleanse with this as I said previously or you can use it as a pre cleanser then afterward use a different cleanser. If your not sure on how to apply a cleanser put a pea size amount onto the palm of your hand then apply onto the face massaging it in, after get a warm cloth or flannel to remove the product along with the makeup.
  8. Always damped your beauty blender before using therefore it won't soak up the makeup it will apply the makeup, also wash it after every use and be careful to let it dry in a cool dry place, not in your makeup bag as it will get mouldy as it won't be able to dry out fully.
  9. When having a manicure you may notice that they apply nail varnish remover onto the nail plate prior to putting the base coat on, which is called 'Squeaking' it removes any dirt, oils and nail varnish. It also prevents bubbling/peeling/chipping.
  10. If you feel your creamy product has dried out then apply one to two drops of beauty oil to soften the product, restoring it to its creamy self. - I've heard dipbrow pomade does this after a while, I haven't experienced it though.
That's all my tips for today, thank you for reading. Look out for another 10 beauty hacks that I'll be posting later this month.

Anastasia Beverly Hills cream contour kit review

Contouring is really popular at the moment, Kim kardashian showing her makeup secrets like 'baking' threw all the rules we knew about makeup out the window and into question. I first found out about this particular contouring kit by watching YouTube tutorials on how to contour, many people had this kit and they're makeup was flawless and beautifully contoured. So I thought I would give this product a try as its different from all my other makeup products.
I bought mine from Beauty Bay  and the delivery was super quick. The packaging of the kit is beautiful with golden writing of Anastasia Beverly Hills with a sleeve to protect the case from opening which is handy if your travelling and are cautious about the palette opening as the sleeve will prevent it from doing so. The top of the lid is clear allowing you to see the colours, once opening the lid they're is a plastic sheet to protect the palette from being smudged which I like as it another protection the colours.
At first I was confused as to know whether to put it on before foundation or after, so I gave both of them a try.

Applying after foundation

I contoured using the palette firstly applying the banana shade in a triangle shape below my eyes and above my cheekbones, along the bridge of my nose, on my Cupid's bow and my chin using my finger for application as it deposits more pigment onto the skin, rather than using a foundation/concealer brush. After I applied cinnamon using my damp beauty blender by dapping it into the colour first then under my cheekbones, either side of my nose and my temples. I feel that dabbing the beauty blender into the darker colours first then onto the skin makes it so much easier to blend especially on dry skin. After I have applied my highlighter and contour colour I blend the dark colour into the lighter colour by feathering upwards. I blend my nose using my fingers as its a smaller area and may need more defining depending on how small you want to contour your nose.
I also felt it was so much easier to blend after foundation as the creaminess of your foundation really helps blend the colours together and blend away any harsh lines too. I feel it's a more defined contour look if you do it after foundation but you can apply as much or as less product as you want, I tend to build it up so if I don't apply enough I can just re apply rather than blending the colour into the lighter shade. If you go too far down with your dark I always clean up using the banana shade underneath the dark colour as this really gives you a clean crisp cut of contouring.

Applying before foundation

You I did this a lot when I first got the product as I wasn't sure if I'd be able to blend the colours together on top of the foundation - I was very wrong. I felt like doing this made it safer in a way because if I applied too much of a dark shade then I knew I could apply my foundation on top and it would mostly blend away. Although that was also a down side as I found myself having to apply the darker shade again on top of my foundation so that it was more noticeable. The good side of applying before foundation is that if you want a natural look but still contoured, this is a perfect technique as it is subtle and not too defining. ( If you read above I tell you how I apply each shade onto my face after foundation, I also use the same application before foundation)  if your wondering if you apply colour corrector before or after contouring, the way I found best was before contouring. So apply the green concealer to any red areas and orange to dark areas on the skin, then apply your contour then foundation.
I've been using this product for about three months now and used it roughly 2-3 times a week and I haven't gotten to the bottom of the pan yet as you do not need much product at all. A little really does go a long way, as its a thick, highly pigmented contouring product.
Many people have struggled with this palette as they don't find it very creamy, that's why having a creamy foundation is important. I find contouring works best with Esteé Lauder Double Wear or if your on a budget as the Esteé Lauder can be out of people's price range when it comes to makeup, I found a dupe of this it is revlon ColorStay It has a similar consistency and gives great coverage. If you can't get your hand on either of these particular foundations try finding one that is thick and build able. I've tried Fit Me by maybeline foundation with this palette and the consistency is too thin and doesn't allow that beautiful blend like the thick foundations.
Another tip for contouring is to always use a damp beauty blender to blend! As it gives a flawless finish to the makeup leaving no traces of unwanted lines between the lighter shade and darker shaxde. I have a W7 beauty blender and it has last me 4 months until I need to buy a new one, it is cheap and great if your starting off contouring and not sure what to buy.
The down side to this palette is it is pricey for many people especially for beginners just getting into contouring, there is another contouring palette that is creamier and cheaper, the brand is called Contour Cosmetics.
If your still unsure or just need to watch a video I have demonstrated how I contour on my Facebook page on a video. Facebook - beauty blogger Charlotte

Introduction to Brows

Brow basics: Face Shape

Great brows are what is in right now, from Cara Delevinge to Jessica Alba brows is what everyone is talking about, and everyone wants the perfect brows. There are so many different types of brows to have and its deciding which one best suits your face shape. To determine the best shape for your face is to firstly find out what face shap you are, for example I have a square jawline and then my face goes quite oval towards the top of my forehead so, I have a squoval face shape therefore, long brows with a defined arch compliments my squoval face shape.
I feel that straight thick brows best suit fully square faces, softening the jawline and taking the attention to the brows really suits this particular face shape. Cara Delevinge rocks this look effortlessly, she contributes to the start of the trend of embracing your thick brows and letting them grow to their natural shape.
Triangle face shape is similar to the heart face shape although the hair lines are different and a triangle face shape has a softer jawline. A lot of people may have a mixture of these two face shapes. The best eyebrow shape for triangle/heart face shape is a quite thin brow with a subtle arch towards the tail of the brow, creating a beautiful shape that will enhance you're face shape.
Rounded face shape may lack the defined jawline therefore long arched brows will beautifully sculpt your face shape into a slimmer frame. Highlighting the brow bone underneath the arch will boost the crisp flawless finish of the natural brow shape.
Oval shape is the most common shape for women, this is the face shape women contour to have or contour further to have high cheekbones etc. A high arch thick brow will flatter the oval face shape beautifully, creating this shape is simple as you would only need to apply brow powder to fill in the sparse gaps in your brow, or brow gel will keep your natural brow shape.
I have just listed a few of the most common face shapes although they're are many more so don't worry if none of the shapes I explained match your shape. If you feel like the shape of brows I recommended was fitting your shape, try out other shapes and practise on applying powder/pencil onto the brows as you can wipe a mistake away if you go wrong.

Brow basics: Tinting

Before you start tweezering hairs out to create a shape which may cause you to over pluck by trying not create an unnatural shape for your particular brows, if you've been over plucking for a long time many clients struggle growing their brows after they've stopped plucking. So be careful when you pluck your own eyebrows.
Go and get your eyebrows tinted as this will colour the finer and lighter hairs darker showing your beautiful natural shape. You'll find that you won't need to pluck out many hairs, only a few stray and deter your need to darken or fill in your brows using makeup as the tint will do most of this for you. Regular tint usually lasts upto 2-4 weeks, depending on colour, brand, how long the tint was on the brows and aftercare. Many therapists tinting your brows will advise on the best shape for you. I see so many times that people with light or 'invisible' eyebrows are confused or not sure where to start with the shape or the darkness of the brows therefore tinting is the first step to starting off your 'Brow journey.'

Maintenance of brows

After having your brows tinted and shaped by a therapist, it is really important to keep your brows in shape. This means that when your brows start going out of shape book an appointment with your therapist to have them waxed/threaded again. At home tweezering out a few strays especially the 'monobrow' area is completely fine, just be careful NOT to overpluck. Most tint fades after 2-3 weeks therefore topping up your tint is very important also, getting your eyebrows tinted by a professional is just as important if not more. As if you do it at home you could potentially burn your skin because you may not know how to mix the tint with the peroxide. If you have extremely sensitive skin, just ask your local salon if they use natural ingredients in their tint as this is more appropriate for sensitive skin types. Every salon SHOULD do a patch test 48 hours prior to tinting your brows even if you have previously had your brows tinted elsewhere as they may use different tint.
If you're trying to get your brows to grow out as you've previously overplucked or just had trouble with growing them in general, there are many products out there to help. Such as, RevitaBrow which is quite pricey although it does have amazing results and is clinically proven to enhance the growth of your eyebrows, another product which is called LiBrow, this has lots of pictures of results on the website and you can purchase a smaller version of the product to try too. If you are on a budget or feel like your brows just need to grow a bit and do not want to purchase a product to enhance the growth, using Vaseline on your brows before you go to bed and when you aren't going out for the day can really help with the growth of the hairs as you are conditioning the hair shaft and depositing a thick moisturiser into the hair follicle. Although applying Vaseline may prevent you from putting makeup onto the eyebrows as it is a thick slippery consistency. Whereas the other two products I've linked allows you to apply this prior to makeup application.
Thank you for reading my blog post, there will be a follow up of this post explaining different types of ways to fill in the brows such as gels, powders, pencil, pomade etc. Also the best hair removal for you will be explained also.

How to: Get flawless tan

Tanning isn't easy especially when your a beginner, therefore I'm here to provide you with exclusive tips and tricks on how to hack the perfect flawless tan. PATCH TEST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO USING TANNING PRODUCTS.
The first step is to exfoliate your skin before applying any tanning product whether that be tanning moisturiser, mousse or instant tanning lotion. I use Soap & Glory Scrub of your life  it isn't too abrasive as I have quite dry skin. It really smells good and makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. Other exfoliatiors I've used is Sanctuary Spa salt scrub  which really feels great on the skin, removing all the dead skin cells and leaving your skin velvety soft. I found an exfoliatior that is great for sensitive skin it is Indulgent Body scrub by Champneys it is a body butter and an exfoliatior, the reviews are amazing. Excellent for dry, sensitive skin as it moisturises the body as well as dequamating the skin.
When you get out of the shower/bath remember to moisturise focusing on knees and elbows, and anywhere else that is dry on your body as tan goes patchy when skin isn't smooth soft, therefore hydrating your skin is going to give you that flawless bronzed look. This is something a lot of people forget, if you do not tan a lot and have had the tanning product a long time it may have gone past its best before date. So make sure to check the date as I've used an out of date tanning product without knowing and it doesn't stay on the skin and smells very strong too. Although most tanning products do have a high potent smell.

Tanning mousse

These are best applied with a tanning mitt, most tanning brands sell tanning mitts too, they aren't to pricey either. It creates a smooth silky finish on the skin rather than streaky application from using your hands. Use a glove underneath the mitt as the tan may seep through onto the palm of your hand deeming the mitt useless as a barrier to the palm of the hand. One full pump onto the skin will cover one arm as a light coverage, if you would want a fuller application do two coats of the tanning product, doing this will make the tan dry slower as there is more product on the skin. I advise you apply the first coat, wait for the tan to dry then, apply a second coat of tanning product. After you have covered your body in the tan, make sure that it is completely dry before putting your clothes back on as it may transfer if the tan isn't dry. Seeing if it is dry is really simple, just touch an area of the body were you have applied the tan and if it does not transfer onto your finger then your ok to put your clothes on. Another way is to wait 30 seconds to a minute to wait for the tan to dry. Most tans are to stay on the skin to develop for 8-10 hours before washing the residue off, other tans don't require you to rinse at all, and some brands have brought out an Express Tan which if left on for 1hour is a light colour, 2 hours is medium and 3 is dark. I know St Moriz have this product. I think it's a great idea especially when your in a rush and just want I quick bronze look.
If you're not sure on how long to leave your tan on for, look on the back of your tanning product to get more information. Remember if you do have to rinse the product off, it will carry on developing after you've been in the shower, so don't be alarmed if you think you've washed it off, because it will go darker depending on how long you leave the product on your skin prior to rinsing it off. I do not recommend going in a bath to rinse the tan as it will most likely soak the developer off your skin.

Tanning Spray

This is very risqué in my opinion to do at home without going to a professional for a spray tan as it's very easy for you to spray too close or miss a large area, as you cannot clearly see where the tanning product has gone. The best way to master self spray tanning is to practise, practise, practise. As it really does take skill to learn to get an amazing finish on this tanning product and looks flawless when done correctly. I've heard ST Tropez self spray tan is very potent therefore, I do not recommend this to anyone with respiratory problems. I've had a professional ST Tropez spray tan 3 hour express and it was a beautiful and brown, didn't look muddy or too dark. (ST Tropez also sell a 1 hour tan you can purchase at Boots.)Also the smell wasn't too strong although it was very transferable. A tip for when you spray tan is if you have the product dripping or not drying in a particular area, get your tanning mitt and dab the area that is wet and it will take off the excess tan, leaving an even finish to your tan.

Tanning Lotion

This can be applied using your hands, or wearing gloves or a tanning mitt. It's super versatile and great for travelling. Lotions are super moisturising and great for dry skin as it not only gives you a gorgeous glow but makes your skin super smooth. I've heard fake bake is amazing and it will be my next purchase on tanning products as it has great reviews and lasts super long. Primark do a tanning lotion too and I've tried it, it's super silky and lasts up to 2 weeks depending on application. The brand is called PS love... - this is great for beginners as its really cheap and doesn't require a mitt. Lotions tend to be more pigmented and last longer than mousse as it has a higher concentrated tan.

Tanning moisturiser

I love love love gradual tan moisturisers!! They are my absolute fav for a natural tan look and you can control how you would dark you would like the colour to be. I feel that ST Tropez gradual tan is lush, it has almost no odour to it which is always a bonus as its rare that tanning products do not have that typical over powering smell. I felt like it wasn't sticky and didn't transfer onto my clothes as a lot of tanning products can. What made this stand out to the other tanning moisturisers was that it wasn't streaky at all and didn't go into my pores as I feel a lot of tanning products can do that especially on my legs. Dove is also an amazing gradual tanning moisturiser as its cheap, great for sensitive skin and  also none streaky as the consistency is super thick and almost prevents streakiness from forming.
Another way that gradual tan moisturisers are the BEST is that they a great for keeping your tan bronze wether the tan be natural or fake as it works if you apply the product over another tanning product without if looking cakey or patchy.

Estee Lauder Double wear foundation review

This foundation has a lot of hype about how amazing the consistency is, how long lasting the product stays on the face, and surprisingly how cost-effective it is. For me this product is expensive, I normally go more for drugstore makeup as its cheaper and looks amazing. But what got me to buy this particular foundation is that i wanted a FULL coverage makeup as i have super dry skin and needed all the redness to be covered, so i thought i'd venture further than drugstore makeup. I love how high end makeup provides you with the option of having a tester and taking it home to try the product before spending your money.
I went to the estee Lauder counter, got my colour swatched and she gave me a little bottle of the foundation to test. This tester is a great travel size too.
I got home and decided to give the foundation a go, I apply all my previous foundations with a stippling brush like my true match and fit me foundation as the consistency of them foundations is light and thin. So I pour the tester bottle onto my finger then onto my face stippling the product into my face, it was clumping onto my dry patches making them look flaky, rough and highlighting them. Bunching up under my eyes and looking super cakey and uneven. To say the least I was disappointed and definitely not impressed. As I was going out I didn't have time to start my foundation all over again so, I applied the rest of my makeup and it didnt make a difference to how the foundation looked. If anything the powder helped my face look even worse.
I didn't to give the foundation another go, I was so annoyed that it looked so bad on my face as I know people who wear this foundation and they look flawless. I told my friend about my mishape with the product and she recommended me to dampen my beauty blender and use that to apply to foundation to my face. I thought i'd give it a go as this foundation is a lot thicker than i'm used to.
Listening to my friends advice, using my professional primer by benefit first as this is an amazing primer for dry skin I love it, after I dampened my beauty blender and poured the liquid straight onto the beauty blender, dabbing it onto my face. It was going on amazingly! Covering all my blemishes, redness, fine lines and it wasn't highlighting my dry patches it was blissfully covering them. I continued to apply the rest of my makeup, contouring, concealing and highlighting etc. It made my makeup flawless and it stayed on all day not bunching up and covering my flakiness flaws. I've also used it without primer to see if it made a difference in the look, how long lasting etc. But it made almost no difference which I was impressed with as it proves that the foundation is truly long lasting.
I love the opaque sheer bottle, with the golden top and writing creating a very beautiful look to the presentation of this foundation.  This product doesn't contain a pump dispenser which I like because it gives me the choice to put back the unused product if I've poured too much out but, the downside to this is that if you incorrectly screw the lid back on then it may leak everywhere.
I found that this product is great for sharpening up your brows by applying a little bit of foundation to a small concealer brush  and cleaning up the underneath of my brows, this makes a world of a difference making a crisp flawless finish that is so popular right now.
This foundation is worth a try as it's different from all other foundations, I really believe that this product lives up to the saying 'A little goes a long way' as it really does! I also feel that all foundations I've previously used say that they can be built up for full coverage but they always end up looking super cakey and Orange, but this foundation builds up perfectly! The thickness of the foundation creates a beautiful silk finish on your skin.
Although this product does feel heavy on the face as the coverage is really FULL, they do a BB cream which is a lot more lighter feeling. As I know a lot of people don't like the full coverage feeling.
Removing this product is extremely hard though! You can buy the double wear remover Estée Lauder retail. But if you're on a budget, using micellar water by garnier is good but doesn't remove all traces of the foundation so, after using the micellar water I go ahead and wash my face, tone then moisturise . It does sound like a lot especially when you're tired or had a few drinks. I've heard that Kim kardashian uses these particular makeup wipes, Neutrogena visibly clear  not sure how good they are as I haven't used them yet but, I've read review that it removes all traces of makeup so worth a try.
To finish the review up I'd like to say that this particular foundation is an amazing buy and I will definitely be repurchasing and recommending to anyone who wants a full, long lasting foundation. Look out for my post about a dupe for this foundation.
