Favourite products of the month

This is a blog post about my favourite products of the October month, I have included skincare, hair care and makeup products. My skin type is super dry and dehydrated, and my hair is also damaged from bleach so the products I have used are best suitable for these conditions.

Moroccan Oil

My hair, especially the ends, needed a real moisture boost and shine. I have tried coconut oil, argan oil, macadamia oil, and all sorts of hair masques. But this product Moroccan oil is by far the best. The texture is really thick and soft in the palm of my hand and once applied to the hair it is immediately soaked in and leaves your hair soft and silky feeling. Also, I felt that my hair dried faster and looked shiner too.
The bottle is a pump dispenser which makes it easy and messy free to use. You can purchase smaller bottles which are perfect to try the product out before buying the full price one, and they are really good for a travel size too.
I only used a small pea-sized amount of the product and it was well more than enough for all of the lengths of my hair, I wouldn't apply to the roots unless you were to use it as a pre treatment oil, in which, you would apply to all of your hair including your scalp the night before a shower to allow it to soak into the hair and scalp, this will help really condition your hair and detangle. Also nourish the hair cuticle to encourage hair growth.

Duo-Lash Eyelash Glue

This lash glue is unlike any other i've ever used, it is thicker and stronger than eyelure, primark own and KISS. The best way to use this product is to apply it carefully and thinly to the lash band making sure to apply or squeeze the tube too hard or else it ends up in a sticky mess. Allow the glue to dry for 30-60 seconds, then look down into the mirror and use either tweezers or fingers to apply the false eyelashes to the lashline carefully and accurately. Duo-Lash glue prevents the lashes from falling off on the edges or sliding about the eyelid as some of them do, it is very strong and quick drying.
The only down sides to this product is that it contains latex although, they have brought out a new Duo-Lash glue that is for sensitive eyes and doesn't contain latex which i will link - HERE.
Also, although it is amazing and very useful not to have to carry around this glue for touch ups as you won't need to, it is very hard to get your lashes off at the end of the day. I wear mine for around 8-9 hours a day and each day it is hard to take it off my skin, sometimes i have to use some coconut oil to remove the lashes, and the glue can be left on the eye, which is sticky and can be stuck to the eyelashes if you are not careful. All I use to remove it all is the Clinique Take the day off balm, which is one of my favourite products of the month too.

Clinique take the day off balm

I used to use face wipes a few years ago, then i upgraded to the Garnier micellar water containing oil which felt a lot more moisturising for my skin although, i felt like it wasn't fully removing all of my makeup from my skin. so i thought i would try a cleansing balm as I heard that they are amazing for removing all traces of makeup and leaving the skin hydrated. I watched the MannyMua video of him reviewing the clinique skincare range, which brought me to try out the cleansing balm.
I feel that it is really easy to take off my makeup and it does dry out my skin either. I use a sponge to remove the balm from my face to take off the rest of my makeup. After, i use the Aloe Vera cleansing cream twice to remove all the dirt, oils and dead skin cells from the surface of my skin also, the left overs of the balm that I may have missed removing.

Real Techniques Expert face brush

This is the best real techniques brush i have used as the brushes are so soft and dense unlike any other. I feel like it applies and blends my foundation into my face flawlessly without it being streaky or showing my pores. It is very versatile, I use it to blend in foundation, concealer, and cream contour. This isn't too pricey either and can be purchased in a set of  'Core brush set' by Real Techniques. The best way to clean these brushes is using coconut oil which really gets into the synthetic fibres cleaning them with the anti bacterial properties the coconut has. Leaving the brush feeling soft and brand new.
